What a magical Mount Alexander Tastes showcase event we enjoyed last weekend (25 – 29 April 2024).
375 people attended 12 events, ranging from honey and cider tours and tastings to masterclasses in the art and science of cheese, bread and Thai cooking. There was jazz in the vines at Harcourt Valley Winery and music in the garden at Taradale Wine & Produce. A tasting of Vermouth and Pastis and a pairing of beer and cheese. And a special farewell celebration commemorating the legacy of Holy Goat Cheese.
This was a pilot event designed to showcase and celebrate our extraordinary local food & drink producers and venues. We hope to grow this event into an annual celebration and to continue to support our epicurean industry with promotional resources and an ongoing spotlight on the hard work and passionate people who make it possible.
Here’s some wonderful showcase photographs taken by Craig Gaston.
