The Mill Castlemaine
Starting as the Castlemaine Woollen Mill in 1875, and finishing as Victoria Carpets in 2013, The Mill has transformed into a place for food and artisan manufacturing, a part of Castlemaine’s vibrancy.
On-site in our food precinct individual small businesses include: a Viennese coffeehouse and coffee roastery, winemakers, sourdough baker, craft brewery, smallgoods maker, cheese and dairy producer, chocolatier and ice cream maker.
Our artisan precinct includes makers of furniture, bath soaks and perfumery, comfy underwear, wool-centric clothing, jewellery – even a knifemaker.
Our vintage precinct – home of Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar and Platform No. 5 – is a treasure-trove of market-style spaces selling vintage, re-purposed, hand-made and second hand goods.
You will discover artists at work, exhibiting and running classes in quirky studio spaces.
Our wellness precinct includes a Pilates studio and strength training studio.
There are also a number of small offices dotted around the site; home to businesses including architects, sustainable building designers, business development specialists and more.
The Mill is open 7 days, please check here for individual businesses’ opening hours
