March was a time of fine weather and festival fun and as we now head towards cooler Autumn days, there’s still plenty happening around the shire including Hot Rods, Easter celebrations and launch of the Phee Broadway season.

BMA Farewells Chair – In February David King formally stepped down from his position on the BMA Committee to move to Geelong. As Chair of BMA for the past two years, David’s leadership and contributions will be missed and the Committee wishes him and his family all the best in his new ventures.

Business Planning Essentials – Small business owners in Mount Alexander have the opportunity to build skills and knowledge in a series of low-cost workshops. Mount Alexander Shire Council has partnered with State Government – Small Business Victoria to deliver the workshops that support and encourage local small businesses. The next workshop is called: Business Planning Essentials at Castlemaine Town Hall, Frederick Street, 19 April from 5.30pm – 8pm. $20 (Light refreshments provided)
Phee Broadway Season Launch – Comedy in the Park – Friday 28 April 2017, 7.30pm – Tessa Waters (Womanz & How to be a Rockstar) will host a comedy gala night in Victory Park, Mostyn Street, Castlemaine, with her funny, crazy and slightly ridiculous friends. Show starts7:30, BYO picnic rug and snacks. Limited food and drinks available to purchase. Rain date location – Castlemaine Town Hall.
