Creative Connections is a two-day conference to address the need for cross-sector collaboration and capacity building.
The stimulating program includes a catered networking event, a guest panel that will explore ways in which creative industries have transformed communities, and six FREE skill-building workshops.

Day 1 | Wednesday 25 May, 2022
11am – 1pm | Financial Literacy | Phee Broadway, Castlemaine
Money matters!
Do you need an ABN? Should you be registered for GST? Do you pay superannuation? Don’t close the door when it comes to eligibility for government programs and funding support.
Improve your financial literacy with tips and pointers and get your questions answered from local book keepers and accountants.
2pm – 4pm | Collaborations & Partnerships | Phee Broadway, Castlemaine
Break down the silos and start working across sectors.
Whether you are seeking to grow your customer base, extend your marketing opportunities, gain greater exposure or simply partner with another business for a new venture, collaboration and partnerships can open a world of opportunities. Think outside the box and you could be rewarded with great results.
This session focuses on how to find, build and strengthen connections, collaborations and partnerships.
5pm – 8pm | Social Evening + Panel Discussion | Phee Broadway Theatre
Join us on Wednesday 25th May for a social networking event in the foyer of the Castlemaine Library/Phee Broadway.
Fully catered with live performance by The Maes, the evening also features a panel of guest speakers exploring the ways in which music, art and culture contribute to and strengthen regional communities. Guests include David Frazer from Echuca’s Riverboats Music Festival, Kate Berry from OK Motels, Suzi Cordell – Clunes Booktown, Shaun Hossack from Juddy Roller discussing the regional Silo Art Trail, and Glyn Roberts from the Castlemaine State Festival.

You have a great product; you make amazing art. Now how to capitalize on this and make some money.
In addition to traditional IRL methods – exhibitions, markets, festivals and shop fronts – there are loads of online platforms to consider and we will hear from local creatives maximizing these opportunities.
11.15am – 1.15pm | Grants / Funding | Senior Citizens Centre, Castlemaine
At any given time there are billions of dollars in funding available in Australia. There is arts funding, community funding, business funding. How do you know what’s out there and what’s best for you?
Bring along your project or an identified grant you want to find out more information about. We have gathered a selection of successful grant writers and grant funders to help answer your questions and improve your chances of funding success.

This workshop explores tips and hacks to get the most out of the digital landscape. Streamline your operations, increase online sales, improve your marketing. A team of experts will answer your questions.
