BMA eNews: August 2016

Executive Officer Update – It was great to connect local business women at the Women in Business morning tea last week. With around 30 people meeting up for coffee and talking about their business, there was much enthusiasm for another gathering soon.

Small Business Workshops – Feedback has been really positive with the last series of small business workshops. More sessions have been organised by Mount Alexander Shire Council with the next one on:

Setting Your Financial Strategy
Monday 5 September
Castlemaine Town Hall, Frederick Street
5.30pm – 8pm
$20 (Light refreshments provided)

These workshops allow time for networking prior to the workshop starting (6pm). The sessions are informative and practical plus you get to take home a workshop booklet with handy resources to refer back to. Both Gen Ward (BMA EO) and Eva Parkin (Economic Development MAS) are available for any questions at the beginning of the session.

This week I met up with Lee Sandwith and Natalie Dowling from the Macedon Ranges Business Networking Group (MRBNG) who are hosting the next cross-regional networking event.

This unique night will be facilitated by leading personal and business coach Veronica Strachan who will help you find meaningful business connections as well as an insightful presentation by Holgate Brewhouse on how they went from small batch brewery to distributing their product nationally.
