In December, Business Mount Alexander partnered with Council and Castlemaine Fringe Festival to provide live entertainment and activate the streets. On Fridays 10th and 17th December many Castlemaine retail outlets remained open until 8pm on this day to maximise the increased customers in town.
The Village Square in Fredrick Street came to life as the hub for food, drinks & entertainment, along with roving performers around the central business district.
Retailers offered discounts, special offers, drinkies and nibbles to add to the festive cheer.
The giant colourful kinetic sculpture – Spherophyte, designed by Taradale artist Alex Sanson, was erected at Victory Park, Castlemaine in mid December through to 4 January 2022.
